§ 10-47. State liquor license; required display and disclosure of status of license.

  • (a)

    Each holder of a state license to sell alcoholic beverages within the state must file a copy of such license with the village clerk.

    (b)

    Each holder of a state liquor license allowing such entity to sell alcoholic beverages within the state shall be required to have posted, in plain view, such state liquor license, and such license shall be valid during all times of operation of the establishment in question.

    (c)

    The holder of a state liquor license authorizing any entity to sell alcoholic beverages within the state which also has been granted a license to sell alcoholic beverages by the village must advise the village within 24 hours of any action taken by the state to either suspend, revoke, or terminate such entity's state liquor license. In addition, should the license of the holder of any state liquor license lapse for any reason whatsoever, the holder of such state liquor license must notify the village clerk of the lapse of such state liquor license.

    (d)

    Any violation of subsections (a)—(c) of this section may result in the village either suspending, revoking, or terminating any license issued to the holder of a village liquor license.
