Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 58-3. Parkways.
(a)
Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Parkway means that portion of the public right-of-way between the sidewalk and the edge of a municipally owned street, highway, road or alley.
(b)
Damage; repair. The village shall not be responsible for damage caused by the village to any private property, planted, installed or constructed, in a parkway, with the exception of mailboxes as defined in section 58-2(c), which the village shall repair if damage is caused by the village.
