§ 2-511. Reimbursement to planning commission, zoning board of appeals, and recreational board members.

(a)

Each member, exclusive of the chairperson of the planning commission and zoning board of appeals shall be reimbursed $25.00 per meeting attended by such member of each of those committees. The $25.00 per meeting reimbursement is for expenses and is a reimbursement for unverified expenses. If a member of these two committees can substantiate, on an annual basis, that such member has incurred actual expenses exceeding $375.00 annually, such member of the respective committee shall receive additional reimbursement for those expenses in excess of $375.00. If a meeting is called of such committees and a quorum is not established, those members of the committee who did attend the meeting shall be reimbursed $25.00 for attending the meeting.

(b)

Each member of the recreational board for the village shall be reimbursed $50.00 per meeting attended by such member of this committee. The $50.00 per meeting reimbursement is for expenses, and is a reimbursement for unverified expenses. If a member of the recreational board can substantiate, on an annual basis, that such member has incurred actual expenses exceeding $600.00 annually, such member of the recreational board shall receive additional reimbursement for those expenses in excess of $600.00. If a meeting is called of such committee and a quorum is not established, those members of the committee which did attend the meeting shall be reimbursed $50.00 for attending the meeting.

(c)

Each chairperson of the planning commission, the zoning board of appeals, and the recreational board shall be reimbursed $50.00 per meeting attended by such member of each of these committees. The $50.00 per meeting reimbursement is for expenses, and is a reimbursement for unverified expenses. If a chairperson of these respective committees can substantiate on an annual basis that such chairperson has incurred actual expenses exceeding $750.00 annually, such chairperson of the respective committees shall receive additional reimbursement for those expenses in excess of $750.00. If a meeting is called of such committees and a quorum is not established, the chairperson, if they attend such meeting, shall be reimbursed $50.00 for the meeting.

(d)

The amounts stated in subsections (a)—(c) of this section is a per meeting reimbursement to each member or chairperson of the planning commission, the zoning board of appeals and the recreational board and shall be payable semiannually on June 30 and December 31 of each fiscal year. In no event shall any member or chairperson of these respective committees receive reimbursement for attendance of unverified expenses for more than 15 meetings in any fiscal year.
